NEW UPDATED RULES COMING FOR THE 2009 SEASON
1. Insurance
2. One (1) driver per truck will be allowed unless fewer than eight (8) trucks register. Then two (2) drivers will be allowed but only one (1) place will be paid. All drivers must have a current driver's license. Driver must attend the drivers meeting or will not be permitted to pull. No riders permitted.
3. Slipper-clutches are allowed.
4. Truck must be a twin screw. No single axle or front wheel drive.

6. There is no maximum RPM limit but for safely, a certified clutch blanket for clutch housing is required to protect against clutch explosions.
7. A single turbo-charger is the maximum permitted unless factory installed. Proof required.
8. Suspension alterations. Hitch heights must be same at start and end of pull. No blatant over inflating of air bags during pull.
9. Maximum hitch height is 18 inches. Drawbar must adjust between 16 and 20 inches. Minimum drawbar length is 34 inches from center of the rear axle to the farthest point on hitch, and no longer than 30% of the wheelbase. Drawbar must be equipped with a :3 ¾: inch round hole and free from any obstructions during hitching. Hook point may not be more than two inches from back edge of drawbar. Drawbar must be designed with a minimum of three inches of total material at any point. Pivot pin must be greater than one inch in diameter. No chains or cable permitted as drawbar.
10. Removable 5th wheel hitches will be supplied by the pulling club. If a competitor supplies his/her own hitch, it must meet measurements and pass tech inspection. If a club-supplied hitch breaks during the pull, the competitor will be allowed to pull again. If a competitor-supplied hitch breaks during the pull, the competitor will be disqualified.
11. Fuel Pumps: Stock fuel pumps allowed. P-type injection pump (a.k.a. P-Pump) allowed.
12. Diesel fuel and air only. NO ether, alcohol, water, nitrous or other liquid or combustible material may be injected into the turbo-charger or any part of the air intake system. Only the fuel that was originally intended for that motor may be used while pulling.
13. #20,000 Weight Limit. Weights, etc., MUST BE SECURE . Trucks will be randomly weighed at various pulls.
14. A protest rule is available to anyone that suspects that a fellow competitor is cheating. The rule can be invoked by protesting a competitor's pull and putting up two hundred ($200) to pay for the investigation. One hundred dollars ($100) will go to the MWPSS and one hundred dollars ($100) will go to the winner of the protest. If the competitor being protested is caught cheating, he will be disqualified.
15. Non-members can pull at one MSPSS event for additional $40.00 plus hook fee. TRUCKS MUST HAVE ALL SAFETY EQUIPMENT. Air shut down, clutch blanket, etc. and must pass tech inspection. To pull at other MWPSS events they will be required to join the club. The truck will pay necessary club dues of ($200) minus the $40. paid at the first pull. This allows for any driver to operate any pulling vehicle pending that they meet all other rules.
16. An air shut-off style kill switch is required and must be easily accessible at the back of the pulling vehicle so it may be hooked to the sled. Fuel shut-off style kill switches are not accepted.
17. All entrants must register one hour before the designated time set for each pull to allow time for tech inspections and time to put together lineup. Members may call ahead to register if running late due to circumstances not in their control.
18. (2) tech inspectors. President or VP and one club member alternating at each pull will inspect all registered trucks.
